A sucessful Open Day was held on Sunday 7 September (Fathers Day), with an excellent turnout of both riders and supporters, aided by a great turnout from our fellow regional club, Kapati. Weather wise fantastic, a perfect day for racing. Three motos were held before a break that allowed new riders (young and old) to take a bike out on the track for a go. This was followed by another three motos of some excellent racing. Thanks to everyone who was involved for a great day. See you all at the track again this Sunday and for those of you who are keen and up to it, see you at the Kapati Clubs track on Friday from 4.30, its the first time their track has been available for racing for a while so lets try and support them.
Jacob Eggleton Wins Bike
In a promotion sponsored by The Cycle Centre Upper Hutt, everyone who paid their Membership Fees on the Open Day went into a draw to win a GT BMX Bike. This years winner was Jacob Eggleton, who was absolutely delighted with his new bike. Jacob is pictured below being presented his new bike by Murray Hartley HBTBMX President.
Club Days
Club days are every fine Sunday, be there at 1:30pm for registration and prepare yourself for all the excitement you
can handle.
Come on along to the track and have a great time, doing a great family sport. That means that everybody can have a
go (with the right gear, of course). Check the membership page for all of your information and contact details or just
come on down - all your questions will be answered by any of the friendly club members.
Coaching
For club members we have coaching every fine Wednesday night from 6pm-7pm during daylight saving months. Coaching includes both skills and fitness training for all members. Specialised Sprockets coaching is carried out at the same time for those under 8 years old.
